The research activity involves the control and mitigation of the structural response by means of passive and semi active devices. The applications are mainly oriented to Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Aspects concerning theory, modelling, numerical analysis and experimental validation are treated.
The dynamical actions considered in the problems studied are: earthquake input, harmonic input, aerodynamic pressure produced by the train passage, stochastic input. Other research activity involves the structural retrofitting and strengthening of ancient masonry structures with innovative composite materials. Aspects related to modelling, numerical analysis, experimentation and monitoring for structural health integrity are investigated.Pubblicazioni selezionate
