Daniele Gianni is Requirements Engineering Consultant at the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Data (EUMETSAT) (DE), where he supports the requirements management activities of future space programmes with the definition of requirements processes and requirements models. He is also part time lecturer in Information Systems Engineering.
Previously, he held research appointments at the European Space Agency (NL), the University of Oxford (UK), and the Imperial College (UK), where he introduced new M&S methods for the systems engineering activities in several domains, including space, software architectures, software performance modeling, biomedical engineering, and emergency management. On similar activities, he also held visiting positions at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (NZ) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). Daniele is the co-organizer of several international workshops on the topics related to M&S for systems engineering—the Mod4Sim workshop in SpringSim, on model-driven simulation engineering, and the Comets Workshop in IEEE WETICE, on collaborative M&S.
He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Rome TorVergata (IT).
